When I was young I had a dream;
I was standing in a forest at night,
gazing at the stars through a small clearing in the canopy,
the half moon providing my only light,
the only sound I could hear were the cicadas.
It must be mid summer.
Suddenly, I am cold, and something brushes past my feet.
I look down and I'm standing in a shallow stream,
the forest is gone, and replaced by open grasslands,
the sky is dark, the stars are low, misty clouds,
the wind blows and the world turns black.
A peace melts through me,
standing in the void of nothingness.
